Saw this when I downloaded my trip computer from my first ride back on the bike this weekend.:
Had to laugh. I won’t be beating this speed on my bicycle any time soon.

Well, I’m a month post injury, and mostly back to normal. No heavy weights, but overall I’m about 90% of the way back to normal.
Probably just need to look at how I can start exercising as the recovery process goes on.
Plus, its been a good time to reevaluate my whole work/life balance thing. Thats a slow burn, but this probably represents a bit of a turning point.
Well, I’m making a good but slow recovery. Apparently I took the pectoralis major right off the clavicle, so a fair bit of damage there to recover from. No weights for another 4 weeks.
Aiming to go back to work for half days next week. Nothing to heavy physically.
In the big scheme of things, its good to be alive and recovering. Could have been a lot worse.
Well, its been a week. I’m a lot better now, and certainly on the road to recovery. I think I’ll be sore for a few more weeks yet. If anything, I’m just grateful for everything that has been done for me. Its been really appreciated.
I think this is an opportunity to look at my health overall and just make sure that I’m doing everything right from here on in.
On the slow path of recovery, with some help from mans best friend. Painkillers are working. Just have to heal now.
First dressing change in my left shoulder.
I guess I have a real war wound now. It’s right up there with a bad case of man flu
And then there are the more minor grazed bits of my flank
All good now.
Turns out I had torn the muscle of the clavicle so it’s nice to know it’s been repaired.
No weights for six weeks
Getting that clavicle plated in the morning.
